Is there a life after burnout?
When you're in the middle of the storm, you can't see the end of it right away, but if you face the wind and work hard, there is a life after burnout!
I know, I've been there.
In 2011, I had a pretty bad burnout. I hit my wall. My body refused to get out of bed.
At the time, I didn't think it was funny at all. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me. Before that, I just thought I was invincible...
But I got up. I took charge of my life and faced the storm. Today I can definitely say that there is life after burnout!
Today I live my dream life: I travel full time on my bike and I work from anywhere, in total harmony with my needs and my personal rhythm.
But I must admit, it wasn't always like this...
My life before has nothing to do with my life after. And I can say that if it hadn't been for my burnout, I wouldn't be where I am today. I have literally found life after burnout, actually, I've been reborn!
But how do you get back in control of your life after burnout?
Here are my suggestions:
- Take time to heal
- Change your stressful environment
- Take control of your life
- Set goals for yourself
- Work on your mindset
- Stay focused on your dreams
- Put yourself in action to get there
Obviously, in practical terms, this might take a little longer than what I'm describing here, but it's the basis of what worked for me.
